It was my first trip to NZ and within a couple of days of my amazing stay I find myself sitting in a hot tub talking about books. I expressed how hard it is for me to read. And except Pippie Longstocking I have hardly ever read a book as thick as that.

The answer I got was: Oh, interesting. Go and have a talk with Robyn. Maybe she can help you.

I know for myself that my brain works very well and that I am a fast learner. But for some reason my eyes are becoming immensely tired especially while reading.

You know how we go through life at times not understanding why we are different in some curious way but we do not know why?

So just shortly after I find myself sitting at a table with a questioner in font of me not expecting anything miraculous to happen. I had realized how Robyn had been wearing tainted light blue glasses which were suiting her very well.

Going through the questions I kept putting my mark on yes, yes, yes, yes, me too…

It felt like someone new about my agony.

Next I saw a number of different colored screens and I was able to pick my favorite color.

Robyn asked me to get my book which I had brought all the way from Germany.

I put the light blue screen on the page and in no time I was able to read fluently.

I burst into tears.

So many years of shame, my parents putting pressure on me to get my act together and just read, them laughing about me, feeling ashamed trying to read aloud in front of the class, the letter slipping away and me trying with all my power just to get the letters together…all the ways I adapted in life to getting around studying books.

Now I know why I never went to university.

Upon my return to Germany I purchased a light blue screen and searched for a Irlen screener.

I am so grateful for Robyn´s support in solving this personal life riddle.

She is very supportive, structured, communicative and totally inspired about helping people to empower themselves.

Imagine how life would be when more people would find out much earlier in their lives than I did with 42 years of age that the Irlen lenses can change their lives.
